I started by learning Trombone from age of 8 and played in school bands and orchestra. Then went on to learn guitar and bass guitar as a teen – played with friends in groups at school and at Brighton University where I studied Music, Visual and Performing Arts.

I have taught guitar privately and in schools for 20 years. I have lead guitar ensembles and lead regular performances. I have prepared many pupils for graded exams all of whom attained Merit or Distinction.

I have performed around the world including at the Formula 1 in Singapore and Bahrain.

I have recorded as a session musician.

For example, I played with Nizlopi who inspired Ed Sheeran in his early days.
